For many years I have memorized Bible verses, to help me on my spiritual pilgrimage. I generally do one a week, and try to reflect on it doing my jogging/exercise time. When I worked in the insurance industry, I would place an old business card on the dash of my car with a verse on the blank side, to help me stay focused on positive things when making agency visits.
Later on, when I had an office, I started writing them on a white board behind my desk. It was a form of ministry for me, and aid for me; plus, some of my co-workers would also find comfort in them. Occasionally, people would stop and share their thoughts and or feeling about the verse, or about what was going on in their lives.
This verse is one of the earlier ones that I used to help me. We can’t begin to conceive of what God has in store for those who love God and who try to follow God’s will. I think that this applies in this life and the next. I would encourage you to allow scripture to be an aid in your daily walk. Blessings on your spiritual pilgrimage! Vernon T.
